Jack Carney

Jack Carney has spent thirty years working at the intersection of psychology, communication, and organisational life, as an executive coach, business consultant, and educator across Australia, China, Chile, and now New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Human Services from Queensland University of Technology, and is a certified instructor for Parent Effectiveness Training as well as a qualified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Prepare-Enrich couples inventory, credentials that reflect a career built on understanding how individuals think, communicate, and grow, whether inside a boardroom, a classroom, or a relationship.

During thirteen years living and working in China, Jack coached upper-level executives at major state-owned enterprises, including the China National Offshore Oil Corporation and the Shenhua Coal Group, and developed and delivered university-level courses in organisational behaviour, management, and marketing to MBA students at institutions such as Tsinghua University.

That work sits alongside a substantial body of original business training: thirty-five courses and workshops Jack has developed over the years covering areas like conflict resolution, negotiation, team building, delegation, and business leadership, all built around a consistent conviction that real development starts with the person, not the curriculum.

In many ways, Jack's own career is a case study in the very adaptability he coaches others toward: four countries, a string of disciplines from entrepreneurship to counselling to executive education, and a willingness to keep re-learning what he thought he already knew.
