Innovation & Entrepreneurship Coach
Helping innovation teams and entrepreneurs turn two worlds into one journey of growth.
Erik Chang is an innovation and entrepreneurship coach based in Suzhou, China. He uses innovation thinking and long-term companionship with entrepreneurs to support the innovation teams of large companies, growth-stage entrepreneurs, and their executive teams in achieving innovative growth.
Erik draws on a corporate career that spanned product development, innovation management, and strategy and organization development. He is a business partner in the “Bo Chuang Zhi Xing” program at Zhongkeda Capital, and teaches innovation and entrepreneurship courses in EMBA programs, including at Nankai University and Guangxi University. He is originally from Taiwan.
On The Adaptive Edge, Erik spoke candidly about serving two very different kinds of clients while building his own venture, and the inner tension that created around identity, values, and self-worth. He described how returning to the question “Who do I want to become?” and a vision of life as a journey of experience and learning helped him bring his two businesses together as “two wheels” that reinforce each other. He also shared practical ways he uses AI to extend his work, and his advice for anyone in the middle of change: participate rather than watch, settle into the present, and find a coach to walk the journey with you.
Erik and Julia Feng met in Beijing more than ten years ago. His episode is in Mandarin.
